The place is still the same though, October through to November, at the local mall's gallery. Poster coming some day.

Update
My art show has moved from November to October, so it's a bit sooner now. Deciding on the theme is hard, I've juggled between animals (portraits more or less) and animals doing something weird human stuff, and little imaginary people doing crazy stuff. I feel like combining all those into a interesting mess, made with ink, watercolor, pencil and acrylics. Gonna be frustrating to come up with good ideas but I'll manage. Hopefully.

Aww yeah
The gallery that I (and other students from my class) are having an exhibition at some point, opened yesterday. Although the placement of the gallery is at the farthest corner of the shopping center and there's really not much traffic around, we had quite fun time at the opening. Myself and a couple others were the "face painters" there, painting faces and stuff.
So yeah, exhibition info sometime in the coming months! Also some sketches of the pieces going into the show.

Upcoming Art Show
Yeah, haven't organized a real exhibition ever. We have this course going on in school (started back in 2010 and still continues) in which we plan, organize, announce and present our own art in a real exhibition. Mine will be in November in the local shopping center's little gallery that is run by our school, KTAMK. Super excited!
Haven't really locked down the theme yet, but as it is really useful to leave a bit time to actually draw/paint the show pieces (+ the poster to advertise it), I certainly have to decide soon.
Posting more when I know... more.

The Saga of Blockybear
Here he is, the N64-styled bear. Had to redo the body and legs at some point to get that blockiness to show, so it is definately a stylistic choice. Sure I could have used the built-in smoothing of 3ds Max but due to my lack of experience with the program and modeling in general, it would have just looked like shit, even more so than it does now. Soon he will have a nice background to accompany him and help him relax more. Plus I will mess around with the materials and textures and see if I can add some bling to him.

And here is the concept piece. So looking at that, the model can expect some trees and a table coming to surround him.

Blocky bear
It is 3D modeling course going on at school for the next two or three weeks from now, and I'm making a low-poly bear. Gonna be awesome. I'm planning to do a little 2D background (or 2D-esque, by making flat 3D models...) for the blockbear to chill in. I'll have to paint the bear in photoshop first so I can submit the "plan" to the teacher, although I'm modeling it from scratch at the moment, just going with the flow etc.
Progress shots as well as the painting coming soon!

Painting the walls
Yeah, not my own, but the blog's. Also testing the scrolling by adding meaningless updates..

1st update, and a taste of things to come
Some of that oh-so-necessary "concept art" for the project I'm working on with my dear Hanna. (more about that when we get things rollin'..) There's the little main character, a desert fox that lives in Sahara, and a bear it meets on its journey. It is hugely critical to plan everything as well as we can, so every little bit of practice helps, is my view on the matter.
